Stonecutters Ridge BBQ

The weather is warming up, and not a moment too soon. Sunday arrived with blue skies and warm temps, and by midday the mercury reached 26c. It was perfect weather for the first of what I’d assume will be countless neighbourhood BBQ’s at Stonecutters Ridge. It gave us the chance to meet even more of our future neighbours in person that we’ve been conversing with on our online community forum. By the days end, we knew we’d chosen the perfect place to build our home.

Our neighbours are awesome.

The first of three purpose built parks at Stonecutters Ridge has become very popular over the last few weeks as the weather has started warming up, but on Sunday we topped it all. With countless young families attending, we likely had over 50 people attend – more than enough for a few pickup soccer games (virtually bindie free!). Thanks to Mark from Medallist for supplying hats to all those who attended. We would have had a few more sunburns otherwise!

The food was delicious and plentiful, and the drinks refreshing, but what really stood out to Megan and I was how like-minded everyone was. It was if many of had been friends and neighbours for awhile. In a way, we were. Many of us have been chatting for months now online and while we hadn’t met yet in person, many of us have realised that we were all in the same mindset about Stonecutters Ridge.

Come to find out, everyone seems to be, and we can’t wait to move in.

    Totally cool, guys!

  3. Amanda says:

Fantastic pics! Hope you’re recovering from the sunburn – Brad’s muscles are still sore from the soccer/football :)

  4. Stefan says:

Thanks Amanda! I actually wasn’t sunburned – not sure why I looked so red at Nav and Maria’s. Could be the amazing drum solo from earlier in the evening….
