An Expat Journey – My Arrival in Australia

Walking off the plane and into the new country that will become your new home is an unforgettable experience. Looking around at what will soon become a familiar sight can be almost overwhelming.

My flight was a fairly uneventful, 14 1/2 hour flight from Los Angeles on United. Granted, I would recommend other airlines based on comfort levels and customer service, but I really couldn’t beat their price for a one way ticket (which can sometimes run as much as a round trip ticket). United Airlines, or not, I was here. Finally. After a tedious and nerve rackingVISA application process , I had made it.
