After great coffee and great conversation with two of our future neighbours, we made our way to the house again today – something that has become our Saturday ritual. Arriving to Stonecutters Ridge, we found our house a flurry with activity. Both the tilers AND the painters were on site working away – making the house look like a home! We weren’t the only ones. Another of our future neighbours across the street had a team of tradies on site laying wire mesh in preparation for their slab to be poured next week. So much is happening in the neighbourhood, now that the weather has warmed up!
So what has happened this week? The biggest changes we observed, after lucking out by having the tradies on site, was that the tiling was nearing completion and the painters were making great progress in getting the gyprock painted according to our nominated colours. My initial reaction was that tiling was taking longer than I was anticipating, but to be honest, it’s one of those finishing details that needs to look good (ie. perfect) and it’s evident that the team of tilers that we have working on our house has an excellent attention to detail. But, if anything IS missed, I’m confident our site supervisor will pick it up. The guy is probably pickier that I am!
Not much else to report on this week, so I’ll leave it at that. Have a look at some of the photos from today. Hope all is well with everyone! We’re almost there!
