Who’s to say you need a good camera to take nice photos. On a beautifully warm night in The Rocks, I took this shot with a point and shoot camera (Canon A520) while bracing myself against wooden pier.

Terrigal Wave

Terrigal, a popular destination just a few hours outside of Sydney, has a fantastic beach life about it. Not hard to see why either. It’s a gorgeous destination, with everything a beach town needs.

The lighting was horrible in the aquarium and, of course, they wouldn’t allow tripods or mono-pods. For this shot, I had to brace myself up against the wall, all the while getting bumped around by all the other guests.

There are days where I forget I’m in Australia. Then there are days where I’m reminded constantly. There are a number of triggers that tend to draw me back in, reminding me of where I’m at. One of these are the amazing bird, the Kookaburra, whose cackling laughter echos for great distances. Such interesting creatures.

A Ram, at the San Diego Wild Animal Park

Ram at the Wild Animal Park

At the Wild Animal Park, you have the ability to take a “photo caravan” which allows you to get out and into the open spaces where the animals roam free. From the back of a 4WD truck, you can get some pretty amazing photos (and hand feed Rhinos).
