It appears that Stonecutters Ridge is already a destination for sightseers. Early this morning as I was getting ready for work, I took a step outside to have a look at some of the progress we made over the weekend in our garden and noticed a hot air balloon floating high above in the sky.
A few minutes later, after heading in to make a coffee I returned, to find that the balloon was attempting to make a landing in the open field near our house – where houses will eventually be built.
It was an interesting start to the week. I should talk to the guys at the sales office. They were giving tours of the new lots in Stage 2 by car over the weekend. Maybe a hot air balloon is the way to go…?

Band of Brothers, the acclaimed mini-series from HBO, is go-to favourite in my Blu-Ray collection. In addition to dramatizations of Easy Company’s exploits, including the invasion of Normandy, the miniseries featured documentary interviews with the company’s surviving veterans, providing an all too realistic angle to the horrors of war.
With the family here, and the Holiday celebrations in full swing, there’s nothing like the taste, smell, and sight of a well decorated gingerbread house to put you in the mood for Christmas.
