Who says it’s too early to start furnishing?

The house build hasn’t even started…and we’ve bought our first set of furniture. Too early? Maybe. But who cares!

In an attempt to ‘save money’ this year, Megan and I decided on a ‘no Christmas presents’ for each other rule, and that we’d buy each other something for the new house. So with all the ‘after Christmas Sales’ this year, we came home with our Christmas gifts early…

If you remember the previous post about the Outdoor Room, we were having trouble deciding what to do in terms of whether we’d deck or not. I think we’ve decided that pavers will be the best decision, from both a monetary and sustainability standpoint, and the grey paver would offset nicely against the house colour.

So what do you think? I’m pretty excited about this purchase. On my future ‘work from home’ days, I’ll be set up on my laptop with the wireless internet and lounging outside in the new outdoor rooming. Working very hard of course.

    I love it!

  2. Sarah says:

where did you get the furniture?

  3. Megan says:

Hi Sarah. Lovely to “meet” you and to hear there is someone else in the area building with Metricon. We got the outdoor furniture at Inspire Furniture at the Hills Homemaker Centre. There is also a nice wicker furniture store just up from it with some good outdoor settings too.
